austin locicero this whole record is a rollercoaster from beginning to end. countless genres are so effortlessly blended, each track unique enough to stand on it's own but kitty's voice/hand remains consistent throughout. plain and simple this shit SLAPS, what more needs to be said? Favorite track: disconnect.

Joel Wasn't sure if Miami Garden Club could be topped, but DAMN. This is some of the most individual, cohesive material Kitty's ever released. You can clearly hear it's all her brainchild, and that her skills have been honed by years of experience. Her newfound sound is uniquely sort of lo-fi-bedroom-electro-pop with nostalgic vapor/chillwave vibes... though the hip hop foundation is definitely still there Favorite track: medicine (with ricky eat acid).

Jose Mazariegos This album is awesome! I love the way musical elements drift across the stereo field, as if being pushed by the breeze. There is plenty of subtle variation which makes it really enjoyable to listen to again & again. The way love & sadness, anger & bliss mix together in the lyrics feels so real. There is a sense of defiance kitty seems to bring out of the act of being demure, it’s wonderful. Keep it up!!! Favorite track: look demure.

about

i walk along the beach and i recall a little poem framed against my grammy’s bathroom wall; a child carries starfish to the ocean. i know it doesn’t mean a thing against a crowded sea, but i am blessed to have been swept back into comfort- i will live the same and do my best to gently guide u to a place where u belong.

this record was written at a strip club.
